On the interior is a brushed tricot backer that adds warmth and aids in the dispersion of moisture. The 5.3-oz. nylon is extremely resistant to punctures and tears, keeping the waterproof membrane protected from the thorns and brush often found while bushwhacking down to the river.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCasting in the rain wearing and ordinary rain jacket can mean water running down your arms, so the Skagit is equipped with Velcro®-cinch neoprene cuffs to create a water-tight seal. Since big fish often require big flies, the center-entry zippered pockets are sized to handle large fly boxes and make access to them easy, even while wearing bulky layers. The microfleece-lined handwarmer pockets are located at chest height to make them accessible while huddled in the bow of a jet boat blasting upriver. The two-way drawcord-adjustable hood and hem can be cinched down for protection from severe rain and wind, and the water-resistant YKK® AquaGuard® front zipper is backed by a storm flap with microfleece chin guard to ensure full protection from the elements.
